I can’t believe the end of the club year is here already. It seems like just a few weeks ago I was being installed as your president. That was such a proud and exciting moment for me. The RSAMCC was the first group of people that I met when we got to Huntsville almost 2 years ago. I want to thank Kristina DeBusk for reaching out to me when I was still at Fort Hood and asking me to be a part of her board. At that time, president wasn’t anywhere in my plans.
I had such a great time serving our community with this amazing organization, and I was honored to be considered for president. Words can’t express the pride I feel for this group. Every single member brings something to the table, and this diverse group work together to make such a lasting impression on the Huntsville community. It was a blessing to be a part of the magic that has happened over the last year.
I want to thank all the members of the general board for the hundreds of hours they have given over the last year. We wouldn’t we able to do what we do without the special touch that each of you brought. You have a made a difference in this community, and I hope they you are aware of the impact that you have had.
I want to thank my executive board. Michelle Nash, Brandie Ragin, Stephanie Walburn, Melody Mansker and Terry Drushal. Each one of you has helped and guided me, laughed and cried with me at one point or another in the last year. I will hold your friendships dear to my heart as my family and I prepare to leave the area.
Lastly, the unsung heroes, our club advisors Kelly Pardew and Susan Perna. You are always there with an encouraging talk, words of wisdom, and a listening ear. It has been my pleasure to serve with and learn from such amazing military spouses. I hope that one day I can help another spouse as you have helped me.
To next year’s board, I wish you the best of luck. Don’t forget to stop and have some fun and enjoy the friendships along the way.
Thank you all for an amazing year!
